
You know "new media" has become both overhyped and misunderstood when the Chiquita Banana company encourages you to "Make a Video Mashup" on its new website. The marketing strategy here is like the Geico-caveman turned bad-sitcom-caveman of a few years ago... except with bananas and without the catchy electropop.

Okay, maybe it did make me want to "eat a Chiquita," but still...
